Ruby Princess Completes 20 – Cruise Maven

What a packed itinerary! The Ruby Princess recently wrapped up an impressive 20-night journey through Alaska and British Columbia, sailing roundtrip from San Francisco.

Ruby Princess Completes Epic Alaska Voyage

This wasn’t your average Alaska cruise. With 12 ports of call, this was one of the longest itineraries Princess Cruises offers in the region.

What made it stand out were stops at lesser-known ports. Valdez and Wrangell aren’t typical stops for large cruise ships, making this trip feel more adventurous than most.

Classic Alaska Ports Were Also on the List

The ship also hit all the fan-favorite Alaskan destinations. Passengers visited Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Icy Strait Point, Seward, and Sitka.

Scenic cruising was a big highlight too. The ship passed near Endicott Arm Fjord, Hubbard Glacier, and the stunning Glacier Bay National Park.

Before heading back to San Francisco, the Ruby Princess made a stop in Prince Rupert, British Columbia. It was a nice way to end the Canadian portion of the trip.

What’s Next for the Ruby Princess

The 3,100-passenger ship is staying busy this summer. It’s now running a series of 10-night “Inside Passage” cruises from its home base in San Francisco.

Those sailings visit Haines, Sitka, Ketchikan, Prince Rupert, Skagway, and Juneau. It’s a solid Alaska itinerary for travelers with less vacation time to spare.

Fall and Winter Bring New Destinations

Come September, the Ruby Princess shifts gears for its winter season. The focus moves to California, Hawaii, and the Mexican Riviera.

One of the highlights is the 7-night “Classic California Coast” itinerary. It visits Los Angeles, San Diego, Ensenada, and Catalina Island — great options for West Coast cruisers.

Hawaii and Mexico Sailings Round Out the Season

For travelers dreaming of Hawaii, 16-night sailings are on the schedule. That’s plenty of time to soak up the islands without feeling rushed.

Mexican Riviera fans will also have options during the 2026-27 season. The 10-night itineraries stop at Mazatlán, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, and Manzanillo.

Looking Even Further Ahead

Early 2027 brings Pacific Northwest cruises before the ship heads back to Alaska. The Ruby Princess clearly keeps a very full schedule year-round out of San Francisco.
