Dubai-based destination management company (DMC) VOYAGE 1 has entered a new phase of growth after travel industry veteran Naveen Kundu acquired a majority stake in the company and integrated it with destination marketing platform Tourism Futures.AI.Under the new ownership structure, Kundu will lead the integrated business as Chairman and CEO alongside the founding team. Founded by Vishal Dhansinghani and co-founded by Lavin Dhansinghani and Amit Kumar, VOYAGE 1 has established a presence across several leisure and business travel markets through wholly owned destination companies. The company operates an ownership-led model focused on local expertise and destination management services for travel trade partners across multiple international markets. The company currently operates across the UAE, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Vietnam, Japan and several African destinations including South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda.Following the integration, the combined entity plans to expand its operations into Switzerland, the Nordic countries, Thailand and the Americas, aiming to create a broader destination management network spanning key global tourism markets. The partnership brings together VOYAGE 1’s destination infrastructure and operational capabilities with Tourism Futures.AI’s destination marketing and AI-driven customer acquisition platform. The integrated business aims to provide travel agents with personalised recommendations, improved customer acquisition tools and greater operational efficiencies. “The traditional architecture of destination management is ready for a paradigm shift.
