Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon are as in love today as they were on their wedding day 38 years ago – and they tried to celebrate their anniversary in style!

The famous couple went out to celebrate 38 years of marriage – they tied the knot on September 4, 1988 – by opting for a canoe trip.

On September 9, Keira took to social media to share a series of photos from their “perfect” vacation, including a photo of herself taking a selfie with the couple at a lake. “Wonderful anniversary weekend. Canoe believes that 38 years have passed?!” Kira wrote next to the post.

Fans were quick to comment, with one writing: “Stunning photo of you both, have a nice day,” while another wrote: “You’re too cute!” A third person added: “You two are living your best lives.”

Kevin and Kira had a private wedding ceremony in Conneticut, followed by a reception for 300 people at the Au Bar in Manhattan, New York. The couple got together after working on the set of the PBS version of Lanford Wilson’s play Lemon Sky.

Keira looked stunning on her big day in a high-neck, long-sleeved crochet wedding dress, which she accessorized with a bejeweled brooch, secured with an elegant updo. Kevin, meanwhile, wore a plaid suit with a white shirt and polka dot tie.

Keira previously told The Post: “Honestly, we were just lucky, there’s no secret, we were just so lucky when we were so young. I was 21 when I met him, 23 when we got married. If someone had told me when I was 21 that I was going to be married and have a baby by 23, I would have told them they were crazy because I was very ambitious, I was very independent.

“And then suddenly I met this man, and that was it. And I was so young and so stupid, and I can’t believe I was smart enough to do it,” she said. “Nobody’s smart when they’re 21. We’re just really lucky and it’s not difficult.”

Kevin and Kira had two children shortly after their wedding: son Travis, born in June 1989, and daughter Sosie, born in March 1992.

Like their parents, Travis and Sosie work in the entertainment industry, and the family recently worked together on the horror-comedy film Family Movie, which premiered at the SXSW Film Festival on March 13.

Kevin and Kira were behind the concept, inviting the whole family to make a film together. The synopsis reads: “A family of filmmakers find themselves in a real-life horror movie when a body turns up on the set of a low-budget slasher film, forcing them to cover up a murder in order to continue filming.”

In early June, Kira opened up about working with her adult children during an interview with TODAY.

“It’s a great movie,” she said, adding that it was “amazing, it was incredible!” work with your family. “It’s very rare to see your adult children in a work situation,” she noted, then joked, “First of all, I can’t believe they actually said yes to being in the movie!”
