Paul Schroeder would rather use artificial intelligence than just not be racist

Paul Schrader is best known as the screenwriter of American cinematic classics. Talking about the movie Three guns at dawnSchrader told the publication, “I originally wrote it about three Black brothers, all of whom are bad guys: a corrupt cop, a drug dealer and a sex criminal… We sent it out to actors, and not a single black actor wanted to be in a movie where there were no good black people.”

It seems… unlikely. Look, if The Daily Wire can find people to play the highly stereotypical characters they like to use in their excuses for the film, it’s a little hard to believe that no actor looking for work would touch a script written by Schrader and presumably produced by Antoine Fuqua. But let’s assume that this is the case.

Schroeder said this obstacle effectively brought the project to the brink of death. “But then artificial intelligence came along, and I didn’t need black actors,” he told The Playlist. Yeah, dude.

Schrader told the publication that the film will be created using artificial intelligence, which if you’ve been following Schrader’s latest storyline probably isn’t a surprise. This guy became an AI evangelist, declaring that “AI is smarter than me” after he asked ChatGPT to generate “an idea for a Paul Schrader movie” and found that the result was quite plausible to him – which perhaps says more about his own creative process at this point in his career than he’d like to admit.

Schroeder, who was recently accused of sexual harassment by an assistant, also had an affair with an artificial intelligence earlier this year, which he began “out of a desire to understand the interaction of men and women in our matrix.” It didn’t take long before the AI’s girlfriend eventually left him.

Unfortunately, it appears that Schrader didn’t get the hint about abandoning AI and is leaning towards it instead. He better hope AI can buy theater tickets soon, because it’s unclear how much of the human audience supports his path.
