- Lachung side is currently the safest route
- Lachen direct road remains blocked near Taram Chu Bridge
- Donkia La diversion is a special alternate tourist route now being used to reach Lachen from Chungthang via Lachung
- Gurudongmar should be planned only after local morning clearance
- Keep 1 buffer day in all North Sikkim itineraries
- Permits are mandatory and self-drive is not allowed
