Brenda Song has shared footage of her romantic getaway to Mexico with fiancé Macaulay Culkin. The Suite Life of Zack and Cody alum posted photos of her trip to San Jose del Cabo on Instagram on Saturday, revealing that the couple was at a “little birthday party” in honor of the Home Alone actor’s 46th birthday, which fell on Aug. 26. The pictures show the couple cuddling up while sunbathing on the beach and enjoying the “most magical beach dinner” under the stars surrounded by the Sea of Cortez. Song, 38, showered her man with kisses while the father-of-two looked incredibly spoiled as he posed in the luxurious suite surrounded by incredible birthday balloon decorations. Her social media tags, set to the sounds of “Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers Islands in the Creek,” revealed they were staying at Zadun, a Ritz-Carlton sanctuary. The secluded resort, surrounded by the spectacular Baja Desert, was without a doubt the perfect place for the couple to slow down, celebrate and enjoy some quality time together. The Disney TV star’s post comes just over a month after Culkin was linked to a possible reboot of the blockbuster Home Alone franchise for Disney. Journalist Matthew Belloni, speaking on his podcast The Town Tuesday, reported that the 45-year-old actor met with executives from Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California, to discuss potential creative directions for reviving the film franchise. “I was informed the other day that a very interesting thing happened on Disney property—Macaulay Culkin was there,” Belloni said. “He was talking about how he had an idea for a new Home Alone and Disney was salivating.” Belloni said Disney executives were flexible in their efforts to convince Culkin to reprise the role of Kevin McCallister amid the sustained success of the film, which originally hit theaters in November 1990. “They’re pitching him another movie – like he could do his own passion project if he could also do another ‘Home Alone’ – and they have a good idea,” Belloni said. The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Culkin and Disney for further comment on this story. Culkin starred in the 1990 film alongside Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern and late actors John Heard, Catherine O’Hara and John Candy. The duo’s luxury trip to San Jose del Cabo saw them surrounded by the Sea of Cortez. Photos of Song showed her cuddling up to the actor and even his shadow as they sunbathed. Her social media post was dedicated to the sounds of “Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers’ Island in the Stream.” Tags and mentions in the posts revealed that they were staying at Zadun, a Ritz-Carlton reserve. The couple took full advantage of the spa and luxury suite at the hotel, surrounded by the picturesque Baja desert. He reprized the role in the 1992 sequel, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, but has not appeared in the four subsequent films in the franchise released since then. These include 1997’s Home Alone 3; “Home Alone 4: Homecoming” 2002; Home Alone: The Holiday Heist 2012; and 2021’s Home Alone Sweet Home. Appearing on the spoken word show “A Nostalgic Night with Macaulay Culkin” last November, Culkin said he “wouldn’t be completely allergic” to another project reprising McCallister’s role, but that “it would have to be just right.” According to Variety, Culkin laid out the basic premise of the storyline in case he returns to the franchise. “I had this idea,” he said. “I’m either a widower or a divorcee. I’m raising a child and everything. “I work really hard and don’t pay enough attention, and the kid kind of gets mad at me, and then I get locked out.” Culkin said he believed McCallister’s son would prevent him from returning to the house, “and he’s the one setting traps for me.” Post navigation West Coast Read: Mike McDaniel Is Embracing Best QB He’s Coached, Justin Herbert Anthropic researchers say AI could lead to human extinction by 2030
