Riviera Travel appoints CTO to drive digital transformation

Riviera Travel has appointed Craig Randall as chief technology officer to lead its digital transformation.

Randell has previously held positions at Hotelplan Group, Tui, Mothercare, Countrywide, Unisys and others.

He will lead the operator’s technology, data and digital transformation strategy, including overseeing the launch of a new booking platform, developing CRM and business artificial intelligence capabilities, and expanding digital tools for trading partners and direct customers.

Chief executive Matt Luscombe said: “We are delighted to welcome Craig to Riviera at such an exciting time for the business.

“We are a market leader in a sector that our guests love, but to stay ahead and continue to grow, we must continue to innovate. This means aggressively evolving into a more marketing and technology-driven brand that truly puts the guest journey at the heart of everything we do.”

He added: “We are making major investments across our entire infrastructure – from our new booking platform and advanced CRM tools to expanding our artificial intelligence capabilities.

“Craig has exactly the leadership, vision and depth of tourism experience we need to build the foundation, deepen our relationships with guests and advance the next chapter of Riviera’s success.”

Randall added: “I am thrilled to be joining Riviera at such a pivotal point in its journey.

“Riviera has an outstanding reputation, a very loyal customer base and bold ambitions for the future.

“I look forward to working across the business to strengthen our technology foundation, expand our digital capabilities and deliver exceptional experiences to both our trade partners and our guests.”
