The Haven by Sula: My Peaceful Lake View Staycation in Nashik – To travel is to live!
There are some places where you keep yourself busy ticking off things to do. And then there are places where you simply slow down.
My recent stay at The Haven by Sula was exactly that.
Located just a few minutes away from the famous Sula Vineyards, this beautiful new property gave me the perfect mix of peaceful luxury and fun vineyard experiences. If you’re planning a weekend getaway from Mumbai or Pune, this is honestly one of those places that deserves to be on your list.

First Impressions
The first thing I noticed after arriving was how calm everything felt.
If you ask me, Sula Vineyards is almost a landmark that defines modern-day Nashik. It’s lively, energetic, and where most of the city’s tourist buzz revolves around. But what I loved about staying at The Haven by Sula was that, despite being just a five-minute drive away, it felt wonderfully calm. Surrounded by greenery and overlooking Gangapur Lake, it was the perfect place to unwind.
Since the hotel opened less than a year ago, everything still feels fresh and beautifully maintained. From the lobby to the rooms and landscaped gardens, you can tell the property is new and thoughtfully designed. The rooms overlook Gangapur Lake, and the resort also has a infinity pool, spa, Café Dia restaurant and complimentary access to experiences at Sula Vineyards.

My Lake View Grand Room Was Worth Every Minute
I stayed in the Lake View Grand Room, and it couldn’t have been a better choice for a relaxing staycation.
We were lucky to get one of the corner Grand Rooms, which meant there was absolutely nothing obstructing our view of Lake. The moment we stepped in, we were welcomed with a complimentary bottle of Sula wine and a beautifully arranged cheese platter. What a wonderful way to begin our stay!
The room itself was spacious, bright, and tastefully designed. But the real showstopper was the balcony. Whether it was watching the first rays of the sun paint the lake in golden hues or winding down with a stunning sunset in the evening, the views were simply magical. Every time I stepped outside with a cup of coffee and a book in hand, I found myself lingering a little longer than planned.

The Food Was Surprisingly Good
One thing that genuinely impressed me was the food.
Breakfast was something I genuinely looked forward to every morning. Yes, there was a generous spread, but the highlight had to be the complimentary wine. I mean, when you’re staying at Sula, it’s safe to say it’s always wine o’clock! Another thoughtful touch was the availability of Greek yogurt and soy milk. As someone who likes to start the day with a protein-rich breakfast, I really appreciated these healthier options and dairy-free alternatives.
For dinner, we kept things simple and comforting. One evening, we enjoyed a wholesome dal khichdi, and on another, we decided to relish a classic Maharashtrian meal of bhakri and pithla. It was light, flavorful, and exactly the kind of comfort food we were in the mood for after a relaxing day by the lake.

Evenings by the Pool
The infinity pool overlooking Gangapur Lake is another highlight of the property. As the sun began to set, the sky transformed into beautiful shades of orange and pink, creating a picture-perfect backdrop for a slow, relaxing evening.
To make it even better, the hotel serves food by the pool, paired with a glass of Sula wine. Good food, great wine, peaceful lake views, and a stunning sunset.

I Couldn’t Skip the Spa
No staycation feels quite complete without checking out the spa, right?
While I didn’t end up booking a treatment this time because I was too busy enjoying the room, and simply soaking in the peaceful vibe of the property, I did take a look around the spa. The first thing that caught my attention was the beautiful artistic pieces displayed at the entrance. They added so much character to the spa.
Maybe that’s just another reason to plan a return visit. Next time, I’m definitely making time for a spa session.

The Biggest Perk? Sula Vineyards Is Just Five Minutes Away
One of the best things about staying here is the location.
The Haven by Sula is just a five-minute drive from Sula Vineyards, which means you’re never too far from all the excitement. As a guest at The Haven by Sula, you also enjoy complimentary access to the vineyards, along with the guided winery tour and wine tasting experience. Considering there’s usually an entry fee for visitors, this is one of the biggest perks of staying here.
It almost feels like you’re getting two holidays in one.
I joined the wine tasting tour once again, and I think this was my fifth time. This time, I also spent some time at the Tasting Room, sipping on a glass of wine with a cheese platter. For a dose of nostalgia, I ordered their pizza too. I had tried it during my very first visit to Sula years ago, and it was just as good as I remembered. Definitely a must-try.

Is The Haven by Sula Worth It?
Absolutely.
If you’re looking for a luxurious but peaceful staycation in Nashik, this property offers much more than just a nice room.
You get:
- Beautiful lake views
- Spacious and modern rooms
- Excellent food
- A relaxing spa
- Complimentary access to Sula Vineyards
- Wine tasting and winery tour included for guests

Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, celebrating a special occasion or simply taking a break from city life, this is one place you could return to.

Final Thoughts
Some staycations are all about luxury. Others are all about experiences.
The Haven by Sula gives you both.
You wake up to peaceful lake views, spend your afternoon getting pampered at the spa, enjoy great food, and then head to Sula Vineyards for wine tasting before returning to complete silence.
For me, that balance made all the difference.
And honestly, that’s exactly what a perfect staycation should feel like.
