Travel chaos: Trains canceled due to massive fire, 40 firefighters rush to help

Photos show crowds at Station Hill station as services were canceled and delayed following the fire.

The fire, which occurred on Scrubs Lane in North Kensington, caused a power cut and blocked all lines between Reading and Paddington.

The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon and caused widespread unrest.

Just after 4.10pm London Fire Brigade sent six fire engines and around 40 crew members.

A total of 380 passengers were stranded on the Elizabeth Line train before they were evacuated.

In a message published on Sunday morning, Network Rail said: “The fire on the line near Old Oak Common has been extinguished, but disruption between London Paddington and Reading will continue until the end of the day.

“We regret the significant delays and disruption this has caused to customers.

“Please continue to check before traveling.”
