Traveling soon? Here are the maps you need to reduce travel hassles

DKP 35

If you’re traveling in the next few days, check these maps for any possible weather threats that could potentially cause delays this Labor Day weekend.

Several storm systems will hit the U.S. over the next few days, including in the Southeast and Northern Plains, so check the forecast before you hit the road and be prepared for potential flight delays through major travel hubs.

Meanwhile, heat is still plaguing the central and eastern United States. Limit your time outdoors if you are traveling somewhere with a high heat index.

Bring an extra jacket for evening events if you’re heading to the West Coast, where temperatures can reach 15 degrees below average in San Francisco, Portland, Las Vegas and Boise.
