Beloved music star dies as heartbroken wife makes emotional statement

Country hitmaker Brian “Nashville” Neil Duckworth has sadly passed away at the age of 56. The Taylor Made frontman, who was best known for his hit Things You Don’t Grow Out Of, died at his home in West Virginia on Monday (September 7), according to an obituary post. The cause of the hitmaker’s death has not yet been established.

His loving wife Tina confirmed the tragic news in an emotional statement to Fox News, calling him the “most humble and selfless” person you’ll ever meet. It read: “He had a huge heart and would truly give you the shirt off his back.

“He was a simple man who deeply loved his family and found joy in the things he loved most—singing, hunting and making people laugh. He also told everyone that he didn’t remember the first time he met me.

“Of course people laughed and assumed it was because he was drinking, and then he explained that it was because we were only one and two years old. That was Brian, he loved to tell a good story and make people laugh.

“He touched so many lives just by being the person he was. I just wish he could see the outpouring of love for him and know how much he truly meant to so many people.”

The loving wife, who was with the musician for 19 years, continued: “Brian will be deeply and sadly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As his wife, I don’t know how to put into words the void his passing leaves.

“My life will never be the same without him. I will always be grateful for our 19 years together, for every memory we created, every laugh we shared, and for the privilege of loving him and being his wife. He will always be a part of me and I will carry my love for him in my heart for the rest of my life.”

Duckworth was born on December 8, 1969, in Grafton, West Virginia, and began his music career by forming the band Taylor Made with his brother and sister. In addition to music, he also worked as a dump truck driver for Wolfe’s Excavating, where he was known as Truck Boss.

According to his obituary, he enjoyed the job because it allowed him to spend time outdoors. But most of all, Duckworth treasured his family and the memories they created together.

Duckworth is survived by his wife Tina, whom he married in 2010, and six children: Zack Morris, Ashton Goines, Logan Duckworth, Kayla Starkey, Michael Starkey and Matt Starkey. He also leaves behind four grandchildren: Jax, Raiden, Dane and Dimitri, as well as another granddaughter on the way.
