Stocks to watch: Indian stock indices are likely to see a neutral to negative start on Monday, as indicated by GIFT Nifty. As of 7:30 am, GIFT Nifty shares were trading marginally lower, down 34 points or 0.14 percent at 23,976. Back on Friday, the BSE Sensex rose 362.57 points or 0.48 percent to settle at 76,515.43. The Nifty 50 index rose 24.25 points or 0.10 percent to close at 23,897.70. Meanwhile, Asian shares rose on strong buying in technology stocks even as oil prices remained high after the U.S. and Iran exchanged attacks in the Strait of Hormuz. South Korea’s Kospi index rose 2.9 percent and Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose 2.27 percent. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 index traded 0.10%. In commodities, Brent crude, the global oil benchmark, rose 0.30 percent to $96.55 a barrel. WTI crude oil traded 0.37% higher at $91.82. Earlier on Friday, key Wall Street indexes fell as a strong jobs report raised the possibility that the Federal Reserve will raise its key interest rate at its monetary policy meeting this month. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.51 percent, the S&P 500 lost 0.38 percent and the Nasdaq Composite fell 0.29 percent. Tata Motors: The company announced a voluntary offer to purchase all ordinary shares of Iveco Group at a price of 14.10 euros per share, valuing the Italian commercial vehicle manufacturer at approximately 3.82 billion euros. Computer Graphics Power: The company has rolled out the first power transformer at its new plant in Sahore, MP, which is touted as India’s largest single-plant power transformer manufacturing facility. BEML: The defense PSU has entered into a strategic memorandum of understanding with Universal MEP Projects and Engineering Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Voltas Ltd, to jointly award performance-based fleet management contracts in the coalfields of India. SWIM: PSU said steel production rose 8% year-on-year to 1.68 million tonnes in August. Total sales last month stood at 1.87 million tonnes (MT), an increase of 13 percent. Role-playing game “Life Sciences”: The company is looking for larger API assets after spending ₹215 crore on two acquisitions in five weeks as the drugmaker seeks to rapidly expand its API business and expand its presence in overseas markets. JSW Steel: The company reported consolidated crude steel production for August 2026 at 24.65 lakh tonnes, registering a growth of 3% YoY.
