OKLAHOMA – Millions of Americans head home after the Labor Day weekend and face a busy day of travel at airports across the country and in Oklahoma. The Transportation Security Administration said it estimates nearly 2.7 million passengers will be screened Monday nationwide. On Sept. 1, the agency said it expected more than 17 million travelers at airports nationwide during Labor Day week. TSA encourages passengers to arrive at the airport early and have acceptable identification with them. Industry experts are also advising travelers to be prepared for possible delays. Travelers flying through OKC Will Rogers International Airport are advised to arrive early and prepare for possible delays. Passengers can check flight information in real time onlinebut the airport recommends contacting your airline directly for the latest information during disruptions. Tulsa International Airport recommends that passengers arrive at least 90 minutes before departure. Passengers should confirm their flight through their airline’s website or mobile app before leaving for the airport and allow additional time for parking, baggage screening and security screening.
