Passengers traveling to or from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport may face difficulties in organizing autorickshaws during the citywide transport strike from September 7–10, 2026however, app-based car services and prepaid services are expected to be disrupted.

However, the strike this is not expected to impact flight operationsand the airport will continue to operate as normal.

BRTS, taxis and prepaid taxis will remain available

During the strike, passengers will have several alternative options for traveling to the airport.

Services are expected to remain available, including:

  • App-based taxi services

  • BRTS bus transportation

  • Prepaid taxi

  • Car rental services

The airport advised passengers to make advance arrangements for alternative travel, especially if they usually rely on autorickshaws to reach the terminal.

Passengers were advised to allow extra travel time

As car services may not be available or limited between September 7 and September 10, passengers are advised to allow for additional travel time and plan their journey before leaving for the airport.
